Flag Football in Focus
Recognizing a community need, GSL Football proudly introduced flag football to our lineup of youth sports under the GSL umbrella. Our inaugural flag football season in Fall 2023 was a resounding success, with over 100 kids participating. Then, the spring 2024 season more than doubled to over 215 kids. This positive response reaffirms our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of our community.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Welcome All Ages: GSL Flag Football is open to boys AND girls ages 3-14, providing a dynamic and inclusive environment for every young athlete.
Fall 2024 Registration: Exciting news! Registration for the upcoming fall 2024 season is now open.
Registration Perks: Each registered athlete receives a customized jersey and shorts, ensuring they look and feel like part of the team. Additionally, registration covers their banquet meal plus one guest!
Player Evaluations/ Meet Your Coach
Dates: AUGUST 17th, 2024 9AM-1PM
Location: Join us at the South Garner Park practice field for a chance to showcase skills and have a blast.
Coaches: Get an opportunity to meet your coach and team. Get to know each other and play a little football.

Practice and Games
Team Selection
Practice Schedule: 6U, 8U, 10U, and 13U will have two 1-hour practices during the weekdays at Mt Herman Church practice field starting late August, 2024. Practices will be on either Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays at 6 pm or 7 pm. Practice times are based on coach availability.
Game Days: Enjoy 6 regular-season games and 1 championship/consolation game
Rain Dates: We've got you covered! Two rain dates are scheduled into the calendar in case they are needed.
Expectation: All players that are signed up will be placed on a team no later than August 15th, 2024.
Team Snap: Once your child is on a team, you will be able to see league practice/game schedule and events inside of the Team Snap App. You will be sent an invitation to download the app when your child is placed on their team.
3&4 Clinics: Designed for 3-4-year-olds with sessions once a week on Saturdays, and no practices during the week.
6U: Tailored for 5-6-year-olds
8U: Geared for 7-8-year-olds
10U: Targeted for 9-10-year-olds
12U: Ideal for 11-12-year-olds
14U: Made for 13-14-year-olds
Season Highlights
Equipment
Banquet Celebration: Cap off the season with a bang! A banquet is held at the end to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of your athletes, featuring trophies/awards and a catered dinner.
Required Gear: Athletes must come prepared with mandatory equipment, including cleats and a mouthguard. (Flags, Jerseys and Shorts are provided)
Suggested Gear: Enhance your game with suggested equipment, such as football gloves and a play-call wristband.
